OUR PARTNERS

We sure do make a great team! The Rod Dedeaux Foundation would not be able to accomplish its mission and impact so many youth in our community without the tireless support and loyal dedication of the partners who share our vision.

From hosting youth clinics to providing equipment (and so much more), our partner organizations are some of the best in game. We’re lucky to have them on the roster and are incredibly grateful for their contributions year after year.

Educational Sports Institute (ESI) is a non-profit organization working to teach youth and community members the power behind sportsmanship, camaraderie, and character development. ESI implements the teachings from renowned philosophers, coaches, athletes, and entrepreneurs to craft a holistic approach to not only becoming a better player, but a better person. A more well-rounded, goal-oriented, and driven individual. With ESI programs, coaching, and instructional aid, they have successfully transformed thousands of students, once without proper direction and flow, into new rising stars ready to pass on the torch, only after just recently learning to hold it themselves. ESI’s techniques and strategies help guide our students by first meeting them halfway, showing them how much more there is, and training them with our proven methods so that they reach this more, and beyond.

Pitch In For Baseball & Softball (PIFBS) operates two warehouse locations (Pennsylvania and Los Angeles) where they store donated equipment. The Rod Dedeaux Foundation has proudly funded their “West Coast Warehouse” based out out DART Warehouse in Los Angeles since 2015. With our support, PIFBS is able to help an average of 100,000+ children play baseball and softball on an annual basis; and to date, they have helped nearly one million children play ball in 110 countries worldwide. Founded in 2005, PIFBS exists to remove equipment as a barrier to play for economically disadvantaged children around the world. PIFBS fulfills their mission by donating both new and gently used baseball and softball equipment through an Equipment Grant Process, targeted programming delivered through Strategic Partnerships, Disaster Relief efforts to support communities affected by a natural disaster, and School-Based Programs in partnership with schools and districts.

Major League Baseball's first Urban Youth Academy (UYA) was founded in 2006 in Compton, California. As a not-for-profit organization, the UYA aims to set the standard for baseball and softball instruction, teach and educate in Urban America and enhance the quality of life in the surrounding communities. Compton Youth Academy’s coaching staff consists of highly experienced baseball and softball personnel. They specialize in fundamental instruction by way of open workouts which give members practical and theoretical training on the fundamentals of the game, while our educational component aids students in the classroom. Compton Youth Academy believes the skills learned in baseball and softball can be applied beyond the field, helping to shape a better community.
